In Texas, more than 1 in 5 children struggle with hunger, and when the school year ends, children often lose access to consistent, nutritious school meals.
Starting on June 1st, the Texas Department of Agriculture will begin their Summer Meal Programs to ensure more Texas children have enough food for an active, healthy life.
No form of identification is required, kids simply need to show up!

With the Summer Meal Programs, children and teens ages 18 and younger, and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old can continue to eat healthy throughout the summer at no cost, just by showing up at a participating meal site.
